Ushangi Chkheidze Street’s development is of a mixed type. Here we find residential houses built at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century.
A 65-room hotel was designed for this site.
The hotel project is represented by a five-storey building set back from the Chkheidze Street line.
The architectural concept of the hotel building consists of two volumes. One of them features façades treated with decorative brickwork characteristic of Tbilisi’s historic district. The second volume is clad in travertine stone. The two volumes are connected by vertical glass elements. The hotel is completed with a roof covered in copper sheets, and the building’s terminating walls form a kind of relief “skin.”
